The Robert Langdon series is probably one of the best-known thriller set of books dealing with conspiracy theories, the Vatican, puzzle solving, and the hunt for the Holy Grail. Dan Brown started a real trend when he wrote The Da Vinci Code (even though it is not the first book in the series).
Robert Langdon is no superhero. He is a Harvard symbologist always on the lookout for further symbols to decipher. Yet, time and time again, he finds himself in troubles that most mortals would not come out unscattered from. But this is fiction. And the Robert Langdon books are there to entertain. And entertain they do.
Here are the Robert Langdon series in order for the Dan Brown popular and very controversial books.
Robert Langdon Series
- Angels and Demons, 2000

Robert Langdon is a world-renowned, trusted Harvard symbologist who is constantly summoned to various buildings such as museums, research facilities, etc, to analyze inscriptions and symbols hidden in or on objects, among others.
In Angels and Demons, he has to analyze a mysterious symbol that is burned into the chest of a murdered physicist. In Da Vinci Code, he is summed to Louvre to inspect a strange inscription found next to the body of a murdered museum curator.
In The Lost Symbol, we are in the US where Langdon is delivering a lecture in the U.S. Capitol Building. The story, of course, also involves a strange object with some inscriptions on it as well.
The Robert Langdon books have sparked a popular movie series featuring Tom Hanks in the main role. Currently, there are three films made based on the series: Da Vinci Code, Angels and Demons, and Inferno.
The new Robert Langdon book was published in 2017 with the title Origin.
