The series features Nadia, one of the few female contract killers in a business dominated by men. She is an ex-cop who was thrown out of the police force following a scandal. After she was forced into early retirement, she decides to run a nature lodge in the Ontario region. At some point, she could potentially lose her lodge so she takes on a quick job as an assassin for a Mafia family, tasked to get rid of traitors.
She is a woman with a conscience, following her own moral code. In Exit Strategy, when a serial killer is on the loose, Nadia knows that he’s a competitor who not only kills innocents but also threatens the business because the new hitman is targeting other contract killers.
As it stands, the series is complete with the three books, however, it is interesting to note the new shorter books, novellas, that are still being published, which is quite a fun revision for the series fans.
